PVC is the most widely used polymer in the world, falling behind only polyethylene and polypropylene in the case of high volume usage.
‘Conductive PVC’ (also known as ‘พีวีซีนำไฟฟ้า‘ in the Thai language) material can come in various forms, which allows it to be very versatile. It can be shaped and reshaped quite easily by heating the material, and it always hardens again after cooling.
These and other adapt abilities are made possible by the insertion of an additive that can change color, elasticity, conductivity, and chemical resistance.
Before PVC can be made into a certain product, these various specialty additives are combined with the original polymer base. These additives may consist of lubricants, stabilizers, fillers, pigments, and others.
The chosen additives are mixed with polymers in a process called compounding, which can be achieved through different methods which combine blending and/or melt.
PVC is used to make building materials, such as siding, windows, molding, and pipes. Flexible PVC, meanwhile, is used to create a more refined product, such as IV bags and tubing, gloves, and catheters.
PVC is used in the automotive industry for the dashboard, door panels, seats, car seats, and wire coatings. This is due to resistance to grease, oil, and other chemicals.
